"British DJ Mary Anne Hobbs' philosophy is "charge at your dreams and never look back." Her rock 'n roll résumé includes living on a bus and managing the hard-rock band Heretic; buying a one-way ticket to LA where she interviewed the likes of David Lee Roth and rode around Hollywood in a bikini on her motorcycle; and infiltrating London sex clubs and the world of celebrity drug dealers to write exposés for Loaded magazine. Hobbs went on to rule the airwaves at BBC Radio 1 where she introduced the world to dubstep via her Experimental show. But 14 years was enough, and she did her final broadcast two weeks ago. Now she's taking her DJ talents on the road. Tonight at Public Works, catch her alongside Dntel (one-half of the Postal Service), and find out why she's called the First Lady of Bass. Drop the beat!" - Andrew Dudley
